I have been a creative individual for as long as I can remember. I only recently decided to follow my passion of becoming a Beauty, Bridal and Special Effects Makeup Artist three years ago. So far it has been a passionate journey into the world of product innovation, and application techniques, a colorful adventure. I am mostly self taught, but have done the odd course here and there to keep up with international standards, the most recent being with Mastered School of Makeup in London a course Lead by Val Garland. I push boundaries when it comes to makeup, application processes, and tools of our trade, always searching for something that will make a difference to the way i do things or the way something is supposed to be applied. The most uplifting feeling is seeing a women exude self confidence when they leave my studio because they feel empowered. The most important thing for me within my trade, is that my client leaves the studio feeling like she could conquer the world, and loves the way she appears to herself. “Half the Job is makeup, the other half is the personal process of how the client feels when they leave”.

I fell into makeup, well not literally – actually come to think of it, I’ve done that too. What I meant to say was make up completely took me by surprise on my own wedding day. You can say that it was love at first sight.
I started my working life as a professional dancer and then Executive P.A, you can say that I’ve always loved everything arty but learnt a lot on how to conduct business from my days as being a P.A. Little did I know what started out as just a hobby in 2005, soon after became my full time career. Fast forward 11 years and I now find myself with a resume that I’m very proud of.
I have over 400 (and counting) weddings to my name as makeup artist, and twice have been nominated by my brides through SABIA as one of the top bridal makeup artists in Gauteng. I am now based in Cape Town and travel all over South Africa for my work.
My work has been featured in some of South Africa’s top magazine’s like Cosmo’, Savage Magazine, 1st Edition of the S.A Playboy (worked with the International model Maria Eriksson) and a couple of other local magazines like Premier, Keur, Due East, O Magazine, Huisgenoot, Get It (Jhb West), Get It Pta, Good Housekeeping, Clicks etc, for TV I’ve done TV commercials, talk shows, Cooking shows (Chopped SA) which can be seen on DSTV’s Food channel, Kruiskyk and the Home Channel. I assisted on several feature films such as Treurgrond, Trou Voete, Vir Altyd and the International Sci Fi Film, Planet of the Sharks.
I’ve been privileged enough to have worked with some very prominent designer both International and local (Gerhard Meiring & David Tlale and Anel Botha) and several other smaller design houses in SA.
I’ve also had the pleasure of working with several of our local celebrities and socialites (singers, actors & socialites).
I’m a SETA accredited assessor & facilitator which gives me the opportunity to train very high quality make up artist’s and lecturing & assessing students at some of SA top training institutes. I also have my own Makeup Artist Training Academy in Pretoria (Montana) and in Cape Town (Table View) and West Rand (Muldersdrift) which focuses on very private, intimate and high quality training to all my students.
Well enough said, they say a picture speaks a thousand words I would like my work to speak for itself. I hope you enjoy looking at my work as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together for you.
I am a professional make-up artist, hair stylist, trainer and skin care therapist. I received my qualifications both nationally and internationally. At the age of 24, I was chosen to head up the M.A.C training department of South Africa and after traveling the world and working with the industry’s best for 5 years, I launched my freelance career.
I have been lucky to collaborate on numerous fashion shows, T.V commercials and popular shows in the first seasons of ‘Idols SA’ and ‘So you think you can Dance’. I have also had the pleasure of working with international models, actors, celebrities and brides as well as other clients and brands such as St Tropez and Estee Lauder Companies.
I believe in a gentle approach with all my clients, young and old and hold customer service highly in my value system. I have a passion for all things beautiful and a strength for recognizing the gifts in others and encouraging them to reach for their full potential. I currently live in Cape Town with husband Bryan and my 3 sons Luc, Mikah and Eli.

My love affair with makeup started at an early age when I discovered that doing my friend’s faces before they explored the nightlife was just the thing for me. This passion for transforming people continued into my 20’s and led to Professional make-up in Rivonia where I did my diploma in Fashion and Photographic make-up…. I’ve never looked back.
I am based in Pretoria but travel to shoots across Gauteng and have often travelled to bi-coastal regions when required.
I have widespread knowledge and many years’ experience in the Makeup industry, specialising in makeup applications for photography and various forms of media. I studied at Professional Make-up (PMU) in 2001, and after acquiring invaluable hands on experience working at MAC Sandton as the store manager, I later returned to PMU not only as the tutor at the school but also hands on coach to the employees at the retail stores country wide.
I discovered early in my make-up artistry career that there are certain qualities that are essential to a successful career, and strongly believe that I have encompassed the essence of a make-up artist – the need to communicate with people at all levels, work under pressure, work with diverse colleagues and be a team player, be methodical in attention to detail, confident and tactful, work long and unusual hours and keep a high standard.. To this end I have applied my creative imagination and strong visual sense, along with my enigmatic stamina to produce a diverse array of images and presentations. Above all I view my excellent work ethic and unwillingness to compromise the integrity and quality of my work as the basis of my success.
I believe in working in a diverse market and enjoy the freedom to be creative, with a thorough background in Make-up artistry, I do not believe in specialising in one particular market and want to feel free to be creative when it is required but also able to do the classic beauty application for a bride using corrective techniques.
I have been doing make-overs for years and has also been an overwhelmingly satisfying experience, seeing women feeling exhilarated, confident and so much more empowered with themselves.
Anyone is welcome to attend my Make-up workshops informing them on the latest trends and giving them corrective make-up tips. Thereafter you can come to me for a personalised Make-over lesson.
I work with skilled photographers and it is always a pleasure shooting with a team that understand each other well.
Brides book me up to 6 months in advance to avoid disappointment of not securing a booking. I use only professional products from leading cosmetic houses such as Studio Make-up, Inglot, Kardashian Beauty and MAC for a superior finish.
I am lucky to say I have had success in the fashion industry and have been fortunate to work on various magazine Publications such as YOU, Woman and Home, Drum, Living and Loving, Marie Claire, Baba en Kleuter to name but a few.
Working on live shows such as Gauteng sports awards, You spectacular, Huisgenoot Tempo, Audi Awards, Woman of the Year, Skouspel and Fashion Weeks has been of my high points, I am grateful for what I have achieved so far and look forward to the road ahead.
“I believe an eye for perfection, fine detail and dedication to my clients is what makes my work A success”
My passion for beauty and the make up industry have always been a part of my life, but I only started to pursue my dream career a few years ago professionally after I’ve lived abroad in Dubai for 5 years traveling the world as a flight attendant for Emirates Airlines.
Seeing the world really broadened my vision for the incredible world of make up artistry and I was privileged enough to be introduced to the world’s leading make up brands. This also made me realize that no matter how good the make up you have in your kit, if you don’t have the correct tools to apply the make up with, it will be impossible to create your desired look.
With this in mind, I was sold instantly when I first used a set of Burst Brushes. I loved this brand so much that I became an agent for this incredible brand of brushes. I am honored as a make up artist to be associated with Burst Brushes.
